EXTREMELY RARE! DEREK JETER BATS CAPS Playing Card, Vintage

  

I have never come across (nor even heard of) this unusual piece produced as a Greensboro Bats redemption card, for a student ticket, in May of 1995. It features a 19 year-old Derek Jeter, when he played for the Yankees' Single-A squad of the South Atlantic League in his first year out of high school in 1992. As the back of the card states, the entire card could be redeemed for "One Free Student General Admission To Any 1995 Regular Season Bats Game, " and I suspect that most were, in fact, redeemed, since the piece is so exceedingly scarce. The back also contains instructions for playing a game with the player caps in cut-out form, though the caps in this example have not been cut-out.

How many products, after all, are copyrighted to a specific month? Neither PSA nor BGS has ever graded a copy of this very rare piece, but I'm willing to bet that this might be the first. Don't hold back, as it is quite unique!
