Vintage St. Louis Cardinals ABC batting helmet (not game worn) NL Centennial
For your consideration is an authentic replica St. Louis Cardinals National League Centennial batting helmet. The National League teams often wore "pill box" hats during their 100th anniversary season of 1976. However, only one team - the Cardinals - attempted to translate the look over to their batting helmets. The Cards still wore their traditional solid red helmets while at home that season but they broke out the pillbox helmets for about half of their road games.
Authentic ABC American Baseball Cap Co. From Media, PA helmet, the same as the Cardinals used but it was not issued by the team. This is an authentic replica, down to the old style StL and the leather headband. This is a one off project so likely the only chance you will ever have to own one.
