Antique Vintage. Spalding 200M Baseball Bat circa 1910 to 1920 Time Frame 35

  

This large Spalding model 200M bat appears to date to the 1910 to 1920 time frame. On page 6 of the 1912 Spalding catalog at the very bottom of the page, the M model bat available for "special order" is indicated as the John "Chief" Meyers model, but that notation however, may have no connection to this particular bat. This observation is offered for informational purposes only. This bat is 35 long and very heavy.

It has strong burned-in markings and has a handle crack repaired with nails as the photos will show. A number of dings and dents give it a well used appearance but a really nice reddish brown color and finish still provides it with a great vintage baseball appeal.
