Vintage OREGON SLAMMER 28 LL BASEBALL BAT Harmon Killebrew TANOAK Rare
Here's a fairly rare OREGON SLAMMER 28 Little League BASEBALL BAT. Weighs just under 30 ounces. Made in HARBOR, OREGON in the late 1960s.
These are fairly hard to come by and I believe the Little League bats are even more scarce than the MLB models. This bat company was owned by the late great Harmon Killebrew. He maintained that his bats did not chip as easily as ash because they are made from tanoak wood, found only in southern Oregon and northern California. He also used cutting edge technology for the 1st microwave dried/cured baseball bat. The bat is in great condition. A slight little curve in the handle. Just a couple small nicks (shown in close up photos) and a couple tiny spots of blue paint near the head end.
I would grade it 9 out of 10. The item "Vintage OREGON SLAMMER 28 LL BASEBALL BAT Harmon Killebrew TANOAK Rare" is in sale since Thursday, February 15, 2018.
