Wear and tear from age, use and storage. Scuffs, scratches, dirt, dust, grime, worn finish, faded writing, chips and large sections of wood missing from knob.
A 2 inch crack in the handle, does not go all the way through, seems to be only on the surface and only on that side. Unfortunately the ink in the writing of Jackie Robinson has worn away but the imprint of the name can still be seen somewhat. Lots of character in this old bat.
