Vintage GNRY blacksmith rock pick axe tool custom JESSE REED baseball bat handle

I cleaned all of the loose dirt off of this head to expose the natural steel and polished the razor sharp axe type hot cut pick and axe style ends................ This hammer is extremely sharp and great care should be used when opening the parcel when she arrives, I cant stress enough that this hammer not a toy................. All in all this is a very cool hatchet that feels good in the hand and has a great rebound......... The handle is all hand made and hand turned by me here at the world famous "Uncle Pimpys Axe Palace " here in Springfield Oregon, home of the Original baseball bat handled tools..... This handle is made out of one solid piece of Ash..................

I set the head using both a metal and wood wedge and epoxy and got a nice tight fit that looks good on both the top and bottom.............. I sanded the handle silky smooth and then used several coats of clear enamel for the final finish..... I do combine when ever possible....
