This listing is an Antique 1917 - 1921 Louisville Slugger Hank Gowdy Decal Baseball Bat. This bat measures 35 inches long and has a nice patina.
The barrel features a colorful portrait of Boston Braves catcher Hank Gowdy, as well as the "Louisville Slugger" brand name and Gowdy's facsimile signature. While not perfect, the decal is approximately 80% complete, and has nice color. Hank Gowdy holds the distinction of being the first major league player to enlist for military service in World War I.
