This Spalding model B 4 appears to date to about 1910 to 1920. It weighs a hefty 40 ounces, is 33 long and is not cracked. Strong burned-in markings and great color and patina.
It's only flaw is that about a five inch piece of grain from the top layer on the back of the barrel is gone. Thick barrel and handle indicative of bats from the early 1900's.
