Vintage Circa 1910 Pontiac Turning Company Model 4 Baseball Bat-beautiful

This is a rarely seen Pontiac Turning Company Model 4 baseball bat from the early 1900's that is 32 3/4 inches long and weighing 38 ounces. It is in remarkable condition. The pictures do not indicate its wonderful condition. It has some very minor bumps and bruises, dents, and pin holes?

Almost noticeabe, piece missing on the barrel end that I did not see until I saw the pictures, and some wear to the grain on the knob. The barrel of the bat has no hint of grain separation. There is a strange incised ring just above the knob that looks to have been done in manufacturing that I cannot explain. Above this ring is what looks to have been some type of "collar" that was roughly 1/4 of an inch.
