Vintage GEORGE H SISLER Baseball Bat LOUISVILLE SLUGGER 40 G. S. H&B Early NICE
Here we have a Rare George H Sisler Signature Model Bat. In 1920 he collected 257 Hits, a record that stood for 84 years and in 1920 he batted. 420 hitting in 41 straight games and won the MVP. Marked 34 on the knob.
Measures 34 inches and weighs 32 ounces. Bat is medium to dark Brown - sort of a deep honey brown.
Very Good Original Condition with no cracks or large chips. The knob and end of barrel are dinged up (see photos) but not chips or chuncks missing. Nice Dark lettering although the G in George is faint as is the word Powerized.
