1892-1893 Spalding Ring Baseball Bat 32 Factory No. 58 Vintage Antique
This style bat is frequently pictured in photos from the era. The bat displays pro quality straight narrow grain with ball marks visible on all sides of the barrel.
What appear to be cleat marks can be seen on the upper front barrel. The bat has the early 1880's era spalding logo with No. I found ad ad in one of the Spalding price guides showing this bat from 1892, so this is how i dated the bat. It is 32 inches, probably 30 ounces. I have never seen one offered for sale so consider this a rare Spalding piece. A great bat from the'toddler' stage of the game.
