Antique Biffer Ring Baseball Bat

  

This is an old "BIFFER" ring bat. It isn't a full-size bat. I measure it at just under 30 inches long and it weighs about 24 ounces. The end of the barrel is in pretty rough shape and the knob is chipped. There's a split in the handle that goes up about six inches and does not go through the bat. As far as I can tell the rings and paint are original. The Huntington Bat Company makes a Biffer replica and their website says the Biffer was a "popular style" in the 1890s. BTW, the Biffer bat is on the left on the bat rack pic. As you can see, it displays well.
