Up for sale is an INCREDIBLE Antique Early Joseph Kren Swat King No. 160, Syracuse NY Mushroom Style Baseball Bat with a stunning dark wood finish and featuring an inscription with advertising for Joseph Kren "Swat King". This piece is referred to as Mushroom style, A mushroom baseball bat is a baseball bat with a large, mushroom-shaped knob on the end of the handle that was popular in the early 1900s. The knob was designed to counterbalance the weight of the bat's barrel, which was larger in the 1900s.
This helped to distribute the bat's weight more evenly along its length, the knob is meant to counterbalance the barrel, producing a more balanced bat. This phenomenal antique bat carries an enormous historical significance and would be a prized possession for a baseball enthusiast or would make for an awesome addition to any sports memorabilia collection and display.
