Vintage Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger Melvin Ott Model Catalog 40B "Black Betsy" Wood Baseball Bat 35. Before the 125 the no. 40 was the highest quality line of baseball bats in the Louisville Slugger Catalog. The Black Betsy name came from Shoeless Joe Jackson. Some of the writing is worn and shows use. Be an unreadable signature under the Louisville slugger which I have circled in a pic.
