Vintage 1935 Ray Harrell St Louis Cardinals Sidewritten Lathe Index Baseball Bat. This bat is sidewritten (somehwat difficult to read) Ray Harrell 4/13/35. It retains its lathe knobs on the barrel and knob end.

This bat is whats known as an index bat, and would have been made by Louisville Slugger after replicating a bat that Harrell send back to them, and held in their archives to be used to make Harrell new bats. The bat does have an autograph of Bobby Richardson present on the barrel which has not been authenticated and could potentially be removed by a new owner if desired. The bat measures 36 inches long excluding the lathe knobs and weighs 35 ounces. Ray Harrell played for the Cardinals in 1935, as well as later with the Cubs, Phillies, NY Giants, and Pirates.
