From the early 1940's. Enos Slaughter model (Hall of Famer) Middle Brand reads: "Genuine, Linedrive" made in USA Barrel end is marked: "Professional, Slaughter Type". Measures: 34 in Length & approx. 2 3/4 wide, at widest end of Bat There is a taped area near Grip end. It covers what appears to be a repaired, minor surface-crack. (see close-ups) repair is well done & very hard to notice.. Bat is still very Solid & Displays Great! Please refer to the pictures below, for all the specifics.. Enos Bradsher Slaughter, nicknamed "Country", was an American Major League Baseball right fielder. He played for 19-seasons on four major league teams from 19381942 and 19461959.
He is noted primarily for his playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and is best known for scoring the winning run in Game Seven of the 1946 World Series.
A ten time All-Star, he has been elected to both the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame.
