Vintage Gray Nicolls Cricket Bat Classic Memorabilia Australia 50's

This appears to be a vintage Gray-Nicolls Richie Benaud Autograph cricket bat, a classic piece of memorabilia from one of Australia's most legendary captains. Based on similar historical items, this model typically dates back to the mid-1950s to early 1960s. Richie Benaud was one of five international captains in that era who famously used Gray-Nicolls bats. If you look closely at the center of the blade, you may still see a faint, V-shaped dark wood inlay. This is the "Steel Spring" or a similar structural feature characteristic of premium Gray-Nicolls bats of that period. Private Label/Generic: In the 1950s, some master bat-makers produced "blank" bats for local sports shops to sell under their own store name using simple decals that easily peel off. You can see in the photos where the label was. The string was coming off so I used just a drip of wax to affix them. It can be easily removed. Please see photos for exact condition.
