Vintage Turn of the 20. Century Frank Chance Spalding baseball bat. Frank Chance is a Hall of Famer who played for the Chicago Cubs beginning in 1898. The autograph series bats began in 1908. The bat is a beautiful example with a nice dark honey brown patina.

The bat is 35 long and weighs in at 41 oz. This bat shows plenty of game use with spike marks, some slight wood separation, a chipped handle, a small nail head on the handle over a repaired crack and the knob has an old initial P carved on the Spalding logo. Despite all of these comments, the bat displays beautifully as a great old war-club. See the pictures for the over 100 year old bat with the noted flaws.
