Vintage, Wilson Wood Baseball Bat, along with a Hiawatha Leather Baseball Glove. Both are, Al Rosen signature model. Circa 1950's to early 1960's. Bat, Middle Brand Reads:'Wilson' made in USA , Barrel end marked:'Little League, Al Rosen, Model. Measures: 31 in Length , & approx. 2 3/4 wide, at widest end of Bat Glove, Genuine, Leather Fielders Mitt with a full, barrel Web. Marked:'Hiawatha , Gambles' , B25-1966 at palm/pocket'Al Rosen' signature brand at lower Palm. 9 1/2" Tall & 10 1/2" Wide hand written name on Top side of Glove (pictured).. Still a Great Looking Glove.
Navy during World War II, Rosen played his entire ten-year career (19471956) with the Cleveland Indians in the American League. A stand-out on both offense and defense, he drove in 100 or more runs five consecutive years, was a four-time All-Star, twice led the league in home runs and twice in runs batted in, and was an AL Most Valuable Player. 285 career hitter, with 192 home runs and 717 RBIs in 1,044 games. He was selected for the All-Star Game from 1952 to 1955.
